DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 15 (MExN): Mangkolemba Town observed a 12 hours total bandh from 6:00am to 6:00pm on November 15.

The total bandh was imposed by the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) in Mangkolemba as the 2nd phase agitation owing to the State Government’s failure to give concrete assurance with regard to the ultimatum served towards the construction of all weather roads, bridges and proper drains along the Mangkolemba-Longnak (11 KM) road.

The CSOs, in a press release, meanwhile acknowledged the cooperation of the Additional Deputy Commissioner and government officials, ward councils, security personnel and the public during the bandh.

They however cautioned that the CSOs would initiate “drastic steps” as a 3rd phase agitation if the government does not fulfill the demands made by the people of Mangkolemba sub-division.
