Kohima, November 5 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki) has rejected allegations by ZUF (Jenchui) of a joint operation against the group in Southern Nagaland, describing them as “imaginary, baseless and unfounded.” In a statement issued through its Ministry of Information and Publicity on November 5, the NSCN-K (Niki) said it “utterly reject and condemn” the allegations circulating on social media and news outlets.
Questioning the reasons behind the allegations, the group said, “The reasons are best known to ZUF (Jenchui) as to why they have alleged about the fictitious joint operation.” It, however, warned that it was “ready for any eventuality” and said that if the allegations were being made with “future nefarious intend,” the group would “retaliate tooth and nail, without any quarters.”
The statement further accused ZUF (Jenchui) of having a “myopic view,” claiming that NSCN-K (Niki) instead considers “the bigger picture with long term strategy and goals.”
“Brotherly relations are desired but clearly not with those with evil and hidden agendas,” it stated. On the question of unity, the group said it believes in the “Unity of our people” but “surely not at the expense of our cherished political aspirations.”
