16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

Kohima, November 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Commission for Women in collaboration with the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board, State Resource Centre for Women and the Department of Social Welfare will be observing the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women and launching of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence on November 25 at 7:00 am at Old MLA Hostel Junction, Phoolbari.  After a short programme, the car campaign consisting of 50 vehicles approximately will move to PHQ Junction with banners and IECs to create awareness against gender- based violence. The main group will break into smaller groups and proceed to their respective colonies to spread the message of women’s safety The United Nation’s theme for 2021 is “End Violence Against Women Now!” which will run from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day).
