Kiphire, February 22 (MExN): Assam Rifles in a joint operation with police apprehended two drug peddlers in general area Phesami, Kiphire on February 20.
A press release issued by IGAR North stated that based on specific input, AR alongwith police personnel launched an operation and apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 10 numbers of Spasma Proxivon Capsule, 29 numbers Alprazolam drug tablets, five numbers Unidentified drug tablets, two unidentified bottles of liquid (approx worth Rs 10,000), Rs 55,000 in cash and one motorbike bajaj pulsar.
The release added that the peddlers along with the recovered items were handed over to Aghunato Police station, Kiphire for further investigation.
