Two more persons have been arrested in connection to the grenade blast near the Assam Rifles Transit Camp at Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on October 10. According to police sources, two unnamed persons were arrested in Zunheboto on October 15 by a joint team of AR and police personnel.
Earlier, one person, whose identity was not disclosed, was apprehended by the Assam Rifles and handed over to the police. With today’s arrests, the number of suspects arrested rose to three.
In the wee hours of October 10, there was a grenade blast near the perimeter wall of the AR camp. A second unexploded grenade, suspected to be China-make, was recovered by the police at the blast site.
