21 new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 8 (MExN): 21 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on October 8, bringing the State’s total to 6736.  The new cases detected on Thursday include 17 from Kohima, 2 from Dimapur and 1 each from Peren and Mon.  Meanwhile, 66 patients have been discharged, which include 59 from Kohima and 7 from Dimapur. In total, the State has reported 5510 recoveries, bringing the number of active cases to 1149 as of October 8.  In terms of segregation of cases, the new cases include 15 traced contacts and 1 from the armed forces and security personnel. So far, 47% of the state’s cases are security forces, 25% are contacts, 23% are returnees/travelers and 5%  are frontline workers.
