A merger programme of 23 Impur Congress AC with NDPP was held at Asetkong Senden Sallang, Kobulong in the presence of Chingwang Konyak, President, NDPP on November 18.
The welcome address was given by TN Mannen, Advisor, NDPP while speeches from the merger party was given by Temjensangba, President and Purtoshi, Secretary, 23 Impur AC Congress. Speeches were also given by different officials of the NDPP central team, NDPP Youth, NDPP officials of different assembly constituencies in Mokokchung Region.
Chingwang in his speech said that there can be no development and progress in a state if there is an unstable government. He said that there is a time for everything and that the merger has happened at the right time. He encouraged the audience to work together for the future and live ‘Not by words but by deeds.’ He said that thesuccessive governments have been working for Naga political solution and that there needs to be a permanent peace so that there is development in the state including employment opportunities for youths.
The programme was chaired by Wapang, president, NDPP 23 Impur Ac and vote of thanks was pronounced by L Moa Lemtur, Impur Incharge, NDPP region, Mokokchung.
