Kohima, May 29 (MExN): A total of 235 person received COVID-19 vaccine doses on May 29 taking the cumulative total beneficiaries from 2, 68,356 on the previous day to 2,68, 591 on Saturday.
The COVID-19 vaccination status on May 29 provided by the State Immunisation Officer (SIO), Dr Ritu Thurr informed that out of total 2,68, 591 doses administered in Nagaland, 2,14,464 were 1st dose while 54,127 were 2nd dose.
Most beneficiaries (2,27,161), as per the update, have received their doses at Government run heath facilities while 3280 got their jabs at private health care unit.
Category-wise, most beneficiaries receiving 1st dose were in the 45 years and above age group (1, 19,284), followed by frontline workers (58,258) and 18-44 years (18,738).
In terms of full vaccination, frontline workers lead the tally at 27,970 beneficiaries, followed by 15,977 in 45 years and above age group and 10,180 health care workers.
Those in 18-44 years age group are yet to get to second as their vaccination started only on May 17.
The 2nd dose vaccination process has also stagnated in recent past as the as the Union Health Ministry extended the gap between two doses of the Covishield COVID-19 vaccine from the previous maximum of eight weeks to 12-16 weeks.
