24x7 vaccination center to be installed in Tsg town

Tuensang, November 8 (MExN): The vaccination status of Tuensang district, which is among the bottom 41 in the country, and remedial drives to improve the same were discussed during the Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at DC’s conference hall on November 8.

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, the house decided to install a 24x7 vaccination center in Tuensang town to boost vaccination in the district, a DIPR report informed. The house also decided to hold extensive vaccination and awareness drives in rural areas which will be headed by HoDs of the district.

Further, the transfer of Sotokur EAC HQ from Tuensang Sadar to ADC Shamator as per the proposal of the Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) was also discussed in the meeting. President of YTC explained that the main reason behind the proposal was for administrative convenience. The Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) representative also spoke in agreement with the proposal. The house agreed to forward the proposal for approval.

The proposal for allocation of funds for the reparation of EAC Longkhim quarter was also discussed and sent for approval.

The members also decided to conduct a departmental sports week for which SDO(C) Sadar, Shelly Katiry will be the convener while the dates and details will be updated in the DPDB group forum, the report stated.

Departmental activities were highlighted by the PHE department.
