Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): Nagaland reported 252 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the number of active cases to 4,607.
Out of the new cases Dimapur has the highest cases with 137, Kohima- 50, and Mokokchung- 17. Zunheboto also reported 15 new cases, Phek- 11, Tuensang- 8, Wokha- 6, Mon and Kiphire reported 3 each, while Peren and Longleng had 1 new case each.
The stated also reported 13 deaths within the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 260 from 247 on Friday. This is excluding 11 other deaths that were categorised as ‘not COVID related,’ in the health department’s daily bulletin.
On the other hand, 214 recoveries were reported in the same period— Dimapur- 135, Tuensang- 27, Kohima- 19, Mon- 14, Phek- 7, Wokha- 5, Longleng- 3, Zunheboto- 2, and Kiphire and Peren with 1 each.
With this, the cumulative tally of infections in the state now stands at 19,845 with 14,363 cases of recoveries. A total of 604 cases are said to have migrated to other states.
