Kohima, November 6 (MExN): Nagaland University successfully organised its 3rd Inter-Campus Meet 2026, bringing together students from its three campuses — Lumami, Kohima and Medziphema — under the theme “The Spectrum of Expression: Mind, Muscle, Melodies”.
Hosted by Kohima Campus, the five-day event celebrated sportsmanship, cultural diversity, creativity and unity among the university community.
The sporting events witnessed enthusiastic participation and spirited competition among students from all three campuses, with participants displaying determination, teamwork and competitive spirit.
The meet also featured traditional and literary events, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents, creativity and cultural heritage while encouraging interaction and cultural exchange among the campuses.
Outdoor sporting events included football, volleyball and basketball, while indoor competitions featured table tennis and badminton. Other activities included photography, rangoli, folk dance, western songs, classical dance, arm wrestling, painting, e-sports and debates.
Following a series of competitions, Kohima Campus emerged as the overall champion of the 3rd Inter-Campus Meet 2026, securing the top position through its performance across various events.
The closing ceremony was attended by Prof N Venuh, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University, as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Venuh reminded students that despite being located at different places, they belonged to the same university and shared a common identity. He emphasised the importance of upholding unity and strengthening bonds among students across the three campuses.
