Peren, January 20 (MExN): The valedictory programme for piggery management trainees was held at Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Jalukie on January 20.
According to updates from the Director, RSETI, the trainees were part of a 10-day programme that focused on the various aspects of scientific piggery management and disease control. The guest faculties for the programme were Dr Imtiwati from College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Jalukie and Gabriel Gonmei, Program Manager, RBAN.
Altogether 26 trainees who were mostly from SBI Gram Seva villages of Diezephe, Khriezephe, Bade and Urra participated in the programme. SBI Gram Seva is a flagship program of SBI implemented strategically in Nagaland by AIDA, Don Bosco.
Gracing the occasion as chief guest, Chief Manager (Lead Bank) Z Tholi Paul Mao apprised the gathering about the opportunities provided by RSETI and various disciplines of rural development schemes delivered by Banks and other government stakeholders to uplift the rural economy.
The chief guest also handed over the certificates to the trainees.
RSETI Director, N Basumatary congratulated the trainees and encouraged them to look towards self employment with the skills acquired from the institute, while adding that the institute would extend all possible help.
RSETI imparts residential training free of cost and is funded by MoRD and SBI.
