3 day complete shutdown of shops in Tseminyu town

Tseminyu, June 3 (MExN): In view of the mass COVID-19 test samplings carried out at Tseminyu town amongst the residents, including shop keepers/owners with the objective of assessing and containing the spread of the infection on June 3, all those who have given swab samples for testing are directed to stay in isolation pending the outcome of the test results.

Further, as a matter of caution and public safety measure, all the shops in the town without exception will remain closed with immediate effect for a period of three days (June 4 to 6).

However, to facilitate access to medicines for emergency needs, the pharmacies and pharmacy proprietors in the Town will make available their contact number or paste contact number outside their shop wall, and remain available to enable emergency contact.

“This measure is over and above the existing lockdown and for strict compliance,” W Manpai Phom, NCS ADC & Chairman, SDTF for COVID-19 Tseminyu stated in an order.

Consequently, all movement of persons to the town for shopping purpose will remain suspended during the closure period.

Any person/group of persons found acting in violation of this order will be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations 2020, he added.
