Kohima, April 23 (MExN): Impur Bible Seminary held its 68th Graduation Ceremony under the theme “Here Am I, Send Me” (Isaiah 6:8) on April 23 with 46 students conferred their diplomas in Theological Studies.
Rev. Sentisashi Aier, Senior Pastor of Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo, delivered the commencement message. In his address, he stressed the need to respond to God’s call with faith and obedience, stating that theological training prepares individuals to serve both the church and society with humility and dedication. “Knowing the One who calls, understanding the purpose of the calling, and embracing it positively is the key to a successful ministry,” he said.
He further said that ministry is not merely about holding a title or completing theological studies, but about cultivating a living relationship with God. “To know the Caller is to anchor one’s faith in His authority and promises; to understand the purpose of the calling is to align one’s service with God’s mission for the church and society; and to embrace the call positively is to step forward with courage, humility, and dedication, even in the face of challenges,” he added, noting that such an approach ensures a ministry rooted in obedience.
The dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev. Jongpong, Pastor of Mopungchuker Baptist Church, invoking blessings for the graduates.
The diplomas were presented by Academic Dean Sungjeminla and conferred by IBS Board of Governors Chairperson Shilula along with Principal Imtilemla.
Academic awards were also presented to outstanding students in recognition of their performance.
The seminary stated that the ceremony reflected its commitment to equipping individuals for ministry, with graduates encouraged to carry forward its vision and serve with dedication.
