Imphal, March 8 (NNN): A 48-hour bandh on the Imphal-Dimapur road began at 6 pm, Saturday. The bandh is being imposed by the Manipur Inter-State Taxi Service Workers Association, in protest against the killing of driver Md Muna Ali in Sadar Hills, Manipur by unidentified men. A sit-in protest was also held on Saturday, in this connection, by the transporters at North AOC, Imphal. The Association, while strongly condemning the killing of the driver, has threatened to intensify its agitation, in collaboration with civil society organizations, if the culprits are not produced by the Government by March 10.
