4th Nagaland State Angling Competition on October 23

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The 4th Nagaland State Angling Competition (NSAC) is scheduled to be held from October 23 at Dimaraja Lake, Purana Bazar, Dimapur.

Organized by the Anglers Association Nagaland (AAN) in collaboration with Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Nagaland, the competition will be witnessing participation of 300 anglers from within Nagaland as well as from outside the state.

The AAN informed that the champion will walk away with cash prize of Rs 75,000, a certificate and trophy while the second and third prize winners will get Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. Top 50 catchers will be getting angling rods, the AAN stated.

The main objective of the competition is to promote angling sport, recreational fisheries and eco-tourism in the state, the AAN stated, while adding that, during the competition, all pandemic related SOPs issued by the government will be strictly followed.

The prize distribution ceremony will be graced by Kevisa Kense, Director Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Nagaland.
