DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 23 (MExN): The District Excise Department Dimapur has seized a total of 7440 bottles of assorted banned Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL).
A press release from the department informed that 566 cases were registered in this connection and a sum of Rs 11, 77,000 were deposited as revenue for the offence. A Liquor Destruction Event was also held on November 20 at the Excise Directorate, Dimapur to destroy the seized items.
Commissioner of Excise Tarep Imchen and Deputy Commissioner of Excise Kevisetuo Angami exhorted personnel and officers during the programme, stated the release issued by Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur T Arilong Longumer. The programme was chaired by Toshiho yeptho, DSE, Katoho SE (MS) pronounced the opening prayer and Tokuho Assumi IE proposed the vote of thanks.
