Mima, March 6 (MExN): As a part of its Civic Action Programme, the 78 Battalion CRPF on March 7 distributed sport equipment/items and library essentials books to the villagers of Mima.
The programme initiated as a bridge to gap between the public and CRPF personnel was inaugurated under the guidance of Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP M&N Sector and Syamchand De, DIGP (Ops) CRPF, a press release from the 78 Bn informed.
DIGP (Ops) Syamchand in his speech expressed the pleasure of organising such event and assured that the CRPF is always hand in hand with the public and always ready to provide any assistance apart from assigned duties, it said.
The 78 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) since its induction in Nagaland has been organising such programmes frequently and has been mingling with the civilian public to share their grievances and to provide the basic amenities, it added.
Bijender Kumar 2 I/C, Commandant 78 Bn., (AOD), during the programme also extended his gratitude to the villagers of Mima and neighboring villages for cooperation and cordial relationship, the release said.
The Battalion under the leadership of Commandant Surender Singh is performing its assigned duties with full dedication in maintaining cordial relationship and assisting the villagers from time to time, it maintained.
