Mokokchung, August 23 (DIPR): In Mokokchung district, 85.12% registered voters were photographed during intensive photography campaign carried out in June and July 2011.
According to Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Mokokchung, Y. Dennagan Avennoho Phom, the photographs are now being merged into the computer for generating Photo Electoral Roles and Electors Photo Identity Cards. He also said a Designated Photography Location (DPL) has been set up in the office of the District Planning Machinery Cell (ADC Planning), Mokokchung with effect from August 23 to facilitate the left-out voters to get themselves photographed. Photography will be held in the DPL during office hours till 30th August.
ADC & ERO informed all those registered voters who were left out during the intensive photography session to avail the opportunity and get themselves photographed at the DPL. The left-out voters may also submit two recent coloured passport size photographs accompanied by duly filled-in Application Form. Forms will be available in the District Election Office, Mokokchung.
He also said, those genuine voters whose names are missing from the current Electoral Roles will get an opportunity to register themselves during the special summary revision of Electoral Rolls scheduled to be launched with effect from 1st October 2011.
