Morung United FC today defeated Merhulietsa FC 2-1 in the last match of Game Week-6 of the ongoing 8th Morning Premier League (MPL) 2024 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Chuba netted both the goals for Morung United FC in the 22nd and 51st minute.
A lone goal for Merhulietsa FC came through Benlo in the 61st minute.
Meanwhile, Game Week-7 will start from August 5.
Till August 2, Unity FC and Morung United FC topped the league table with 15 points each, followed by Vanguard Old Boys FC at 13 points, Merhulietsa FC-8 points, Gethemgo FC- 7 points, Eagle FC-6 points, All Blacks- 5 points, Morning FC-3 points and Kohima Police FC and Mustang FC at 2 points each.
