97 new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland

Adding to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the State, 97 new cases were reported on Wednesday.

State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that out of the 97 new cases, 49 were in Dimapur, 46 in Kohima and 1 each in Mokokchung and Tuensang.

Traced contacts accounted for 64 of the total cases on Wednesday while 28 were returnees/travelers and 5 were armed forces/security personnel. 

With this, the State’s tally of active cases has gone up to 347.

Meanwhile, 4 patients in Phek district reportedly recovered on April 21, taking the total number of recoveries in the State to 12,114. The total number of positive cases is 12,747. The death toll from the infection in the State is 94 (10 not COVID-related).
