9th NCYM Convention from April 23-25

KOHIMA, April 7 (MExN): The 9th Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) Convention will be held from April 23-25, 2021 at St. Xavier’s Church, Zhavame (St. Ignatius Parish, Razeba) under the theme “Loving my faith and living my faith.” 

The main celebrant of the event will be Most Rev Dr James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima while Deacon Ivan Fernandes, Director, Diocesan Youth Centre, Archdiocese of Mumbai and Dr PJ Antony, Commissioner and Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly will grace the occasion as speaker and special guest respectively.

According to a press release received here, NCYM said special invitees for the convention also include Catholic Association of Nagaland (CAN) and Nagaland Catholic Women Association (NCWA). Besides Holy Mass and other sessions, the convention will also be marked by choral speech competition, question hour on faith, and Rev Dr CP Anto, Principal, NEISSR will speak on “The role of youth in peace building”. 

A highlight of the convention will be a pilgrimage to Mt Kapamodzü on Sunday afternoon, the last of the convention, which will be led by CYA, Christ the King Church, Kohima.
