Mokokchung, May 25 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Church Association (ABAM) on Tuesday donated a sum of Rs 2 lakh to the Mokokchung District Task Force towards the COVID-19 relief fund, through the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner’s office.
In a press release on Tuesday, Executive Secretary, ABAM Rev Dr Mar Pongener acknowledged all the organisations, associations, churches and individuals who have been supporting the government in the ongoing battle against the deadly virus. “We feel a great deal of remorse for the great loss our nation is presently experiencing despite our nation's significant preventive measures. However, we owe a lot to all the frontline workers for taking all the risks in maneuvering the situation without attrition,” the release stated.
It further stated that ABAM would continue praying for the healing of the entire world and requested every individual to adhere to the SOPs given by the government.
