Mokokchung, April 16 (MExN): In view of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election, the Ao Baptist Arogo Mingdang (ABAM) led by its Executive Secretary, Rev Dr Mar Pongener visited the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner's office on April 16.
The visit was made “with a prayer for the strength and safety of all the people involved in the implementation of law and order,” stated an update received here.
During the prayer meeting, DC Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji informed that the response from the villages this time is very positive and the team is very pleased to work under such cooperation. He also thanked ABAM for the prayer which is the greatest source of help at this hour.
On behalf of the people of Mokokchung, Rev Dr Mar appreciated the District Administration for making effort to curb malpractices during the election. “It may be less conspicuous, yet we have seen many changes that have taken place in our district. It may be the toughest job, but knowing that God is always there by our side, let us not be weary of doing good, believing that one day we shall overcome this hurdle,” he said.
Meanwhile, as the administration heads towards implementing the Election Code of Conduct, ABAM also prays for “free and fair election under their leadership.”
