DIMAPUR, MAY 23 (MExN): The ADC Tseminyu, W Manpai Phom has notified activation of community surveillance on COVID-19 and village surveillance team.
In an order, the ADC directed urgent setting up and activation of village surveillance team compromising of members from ASHA workers from Health Department, Angawadi workers from Social Welfare Department and SHGs from NSRLM/RD Department to identify anyone in the village with Influenza Like Illness (ILI), Severe Acute Respiratory illness (SARI) including fever, cough and difficulty in breathing.
The SMO Tseminyu along with MOs of Chunlikha and Tesophenyu have been directed to collaborate with CDPO Tseminyu, BDO Tseminyu, and BDO Chunlikha to activate the village surveillance teams for further necessary action.
It also directed activation of community surveillance teams in the sub-division through coordinated participation.
Community surveillance for the sub-division is to be under the supervision of the SDTF, Tseminyu. SMO Tseminyu along with the MOs of Chunlikha and Tesophenyu have been ordered to initiate the activation of community surveillance including work out the requirement and modalities of block supervisors with reports to be submitted to Tseminyu (SDTF).
