Zunheboto, March 14 (MExN): Nagaland Advisor for School Education KT Sukhalu handed over a new cesspool cleaner vehicle to Zunheboto ADC Renbomo Ezung in the presence of EAC Orenthung Kikon and 35 AC NDPP President Kikhevi Yepthomi on March 9.
A DIPR report received on Sunday stated that the vehicle which was procured under municipal department was a ‘long awaited need of the people of Zunheboto as the people has been emptying the septic tank in open air especially during monsoon thereby creating unhygienic environment.’ The Advisor took the matter as a priority and after approaching the concerned department, procured the vehicle for the welfare of the people of Zunheboto, the DIPR report stated.
The Advisor is also said to have paid his maiden visit to Zunheboto District Jail and interacted with the assistant jailor as well as the inmates. As per the DIPR, Sukhalu exhorted the inmates and urged them to change themselves while in jail, find refuge in God and be a changed person when they finish their sentence. He also listened to the grievances of the inmates and assured them that he would approach the concerned department and address their grievances. The Advisor donated a generous amount for the welfare of the inmates, the DIPR report stated.
It further stated that the Advisor along with party workers, contractors and department officials various locations where blacktopping of roads were being carried out, in order to check whether the works is being done properly or as specified in work order.
