Wokha, June 9 (MExN): Advisor for Horticulture and Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan toured 39th Sanis Assembly Constituency on June 8.
As per a DIPR report, the Advisor’s tour was to boost the confidence of the Sanis Sub-Division Task Force (SDTF) on COVID-19 and to ascertain the preparedness and also to contain the pandemic.
While inspecting Sungro PHC, Lakhuti PHC, Sanis CHC and Molian PHC, the Advisor expressed his appreciation for the Sanis Block Task Force (BTF) led by Chairman and ADC Sanis, administration, doctors, health care workers, frontline workers, police, churches, civil societies and all others involved, for rendering their yeoman service for the safety of the people during the pandemic.
He also highlighted that the government is doing its best to provide better healthcare service through various health care centers and urged the churches to create an awareness to do away with the social stigma.
Yanthan urged the young generation of the State to rise up and meet the challenges to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. He added that the State has been depending on others for too long and to overcome this deficiency, the State government has constituted high power steering committee to improve the agriculture production. As agriculture is the mainstay of Nagaland, the State government has also launched various programmes and schemes, Yanthan informed and urged the young generation to avail the opportunity for self-reliance.
The Advisor also donated PPE kits, oxygen concentrator, pulse oxymeter, sprayer and cash to the centers.
