Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): MLA and Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi on Friday extended Durga Puja greetings to the Hindu community of Dimapur.
“Although this year has been unprecedented for all of us, yet it is that time of the year again when we are reminded of Durga Puja which is the significance of celebrating ‘good over evil,’” he said in his message on Ocober 23.
He also wished the Hindu community of Dimapur, “immense strength to overcome all the obstacles in life.”
May the goddess protect your family from the evil and empower you with the light of knowledge and truth, he added.
“During this festive time, I call upon the Hindu community to also draw inspiration from goddess Durga’s triumph over the demon; and strive towards making the land free from the evils of Coronavirus by using our most powerful shields of wearing mask, washing hands and maintaining social distancing besides following all other protocols and precautionary measures,” Tovihoto said in his message.
