Kiphire, July 23 (MExN): Evergreen Welfare Society, under Link Worker Scheme conducted an advocacy, mid-media activity, and health screening camp at Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) in Sitimi town under Kiphire district on July 23.
During the programme, A Shikali, Zonal Supervisor of the Link Worker Scheme, presented key facts about HIV & AIDS, which included importance of testing and treatment, Information and explanation of HIV & AIDS, Social benefits shared with the villages, impact on pregnant women and unborn children and Ways of transmission and prevention.
Cluster link workers and volunteers conducted short role play to illustrate significance of HIV & AIDS awareness and importance of testing centers.
Tsaloba Denis, Zonal Supervisor delivered vote of thanks. During the programme, health screening was also conducted. The programme was chaired by Sezila S Sangtam, Monitoring and Evaluation Accountant of the Link Worker Scheme.
