AESL partners with Indian Army to provide edu support

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to extend educational support and welfare benefits to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

According to a press release, the MoU covers serving members, retirees, gallantry awardees, personnel with disabilities, and families of those who have died in service. The agreement was signed by the Colonel, Ceremonial & Welfare, Indian Army, and Dr Yash Pal, Chief Academic & Business Head, Delhi-NCR, AESL.

Under the agreement, AESL will provide scholarships and related benefits to students from Army families enrolling at its centres across the country. These include a 100% waiver on all fee components except registration fees for wards of personnel who died while in service, a 100% tuition fee waiver for wards of personnel with more than 20% disability and gallantry awardees, and a 20% tuition fee waiver for wards of serving and retired personnel after other scholarships are applied.

The release stated that these provisions will be in addition to AESL’s existing scholarship programmes available to all students.

AESL will also provide mentoring and counselling support to the wards of Indian Army personnel during the tenure of the MoU through both virtual and physical platforms.

Chandra Sekhar Garisa Reddy, MD and CEO of AESL, said, "At AESL, we believe education is the strongest foundation for a brighter future. Partnering with the Indian Army allows us to honour the sacrifices of our brave soldiers by empowering their families with quality education and guidance. Through scholarships, mentoring, and counselling, we aim to ensure that the wards of our heroes are equipped to achieve their fullest potential and become leaders in their own right."

The release further informed that AESL had recently signed a similar MoU with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association to provide academic support, scholarships, and career guidance to the children and families of CRPF personnel across India.
