Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship (ABPF) while resenting the proposed act of immersing Vajpayee’s ashes into Doyang river, observed that, "time and again, the church stood against the unwelcoming social and religious practices in the name of the political platform.”
President N Lipok Jamir and Vice President Dr. Akok, ABPF, in a statement said, “In dictum, the church is still against anyone who is defaming the Christian faith.”
“It is disheartening to see our own leaders being involved in such an unaccepted spiritual act which is a stumbling block for Christian faith which comprises more than 90% population,” the release added.
