The Assemblies of God of East India (AGEI) celebrated its 50th year of society registration thanksgiving service on August 9 at AG Church (Buntai chapel) Bank Colony, Dimapur.
On June 27, 1973, under the nomenclature of AGEI, an application for society registration was submitted at Kohima following which it was recognised on August 9 that same year bearing registration number 28.
The service was conducted on the theme, "Not by might, not by power, but by spirit, says the Lord of hosts" (Zachariah 4:6).
Speaker of the service, Rev Dr TN Lotha Jr Presbyter while delivering his message spoke of the need to be vigilant and dedicated in the work that they do. He further observed that the current world was undergoing numerous violence and conflicts, indicating the signs of end times but reminded the gathering to remain steadfast in their faith.
