Aggrieved teachers lament Teachers’ Day snub

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): Members of the All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers Association (ANAATA) aren’t too happy that their grievances and state of affairs are ignored “while the entire nation is celebrating and honoring the teachers who are considered the builders of the society.”

“The All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers Association laments and sympathizes with its members across the state while the entire nation is celebrating and honoring the teachers who are considered the builders of the society,” the association stated in a note today.

The members of ANAATA “who have committed no faults and blameless have to prepare themselves in replying to a time bound (30 days) show cause notice.”

The ‘sleepless nights, the mental trauma, the social stigma which is threatening its entire being can be best viewed from the eye of the aggrieved members,’ the association stated.

According to the teachers, the “struggling /disgrace 2 years of ‘Teachers Day’ faced by the ANAATA members no doubt have created a gap with its innocent students.”

The association appealed: “We regret our inability to fully concentrate on our noble profession towards our students but in the mean time we also assure our students that the irreparable gap created between us will be renewed with full vigor as and when the state government frees us from the ongoing crisis.”

The ANAATA fervently appeals to the state government “for its sincerity in solving the matter at the earliest as the final resultant outcome in this imbroglio is faced directly by the upcoming generation.”

The association also appealed to students: “Don’t misconstrue us, we really feel for you. We ask of you to remember us in your silent prayer.”
