KOHIMA, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): Casual presenters of All India Radio (AIR) Kohima for the Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Yimkhiung and Zeliang languages have decided to boycott/abstain from performing further duties indefinitely with effect from December 11. A statement from the presenters informed that they have not been paid their wages/salaries from the past 7-9 months. The presenters said that they would abstain from work until the issue is redressed. “We regret the inconvenience caused to our esteemed listeners and the department concerned and also earnestly appeal to bear with us at such a juncture. We also seek the higher authority's intervention for immediate redressal of our grievance so that we may contribute our service in an unhindered manner,” the statement added.
