Aizawl gets direct rail links to Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata

MALIGAON, SEPTEMBER 12 (MExN): Indian Railways (IR) will launch three new pairs of train services from Sairang station in Aizawl, enhancing connectivity of Mizoram’s capital with key destinations across the country. The inaugural runs of all three trains are scheduled for September 13 followed by regular services from the notified dates.

Sairang–Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express: Inaugural Train No. 02507 will depart Sairang at 10:00 hrs on September 13 to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 07:30 hrs on September 15. Regular services (Train No. 20507) will start from Sairang every Friday at 16:30 hrs from September 19, reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 10:50 hrs on Sunday. The return train (Train No. 20508) will depart Anand Vihar Terminal every Sunday at 19:50 hrs from September 21, arriving Sairang at 15:15 hrs on Tuesday. The route will include Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, and Bhagalpur.

Sairang–Guwahati Express: Inaugural Train No. 05609 will run from Bairabi to Sairang on September 13, departing at 10:00 hrs and arriving at 11:15 hrs. The train will then run as Train No. 05610 from Sairang to Guwahati, departing at 12:30 hrs and arriving at 02:30 hrs the next day. Regular services (Train No. 15610) will run daily from Sairang at 19:00 hrs from September 14, reaching Guwahati at 08:30 hrs next day, with the return train (Train No. 15609) departing Guwahati at 19:00 hrs daily to reach Sairang at 08:30 hrs.

Sairang–Kolkata Tri-Weekly Express: Inaugural Train No. 03126 will depart Sairang at 10:00 hrs on September 13 to reach Kolkata at 17:00 hrs next day. Regular services (Train No. 13126) will start from Sairang on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 07:15 hrs from September 18, reaching Kolkata at 14:30 hrs next day. The return service (Train No. 13125) will depart Kolkata on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 12:25 hrs from September 16, arriving Sairang at 19:45 hrs next day. The route will pass through Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, Golakganj, New Jalpaiguri, and Malda Town.
