Mokokchung, October 11 (MExN): The Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) has informed that its office building will remain sealed with immediate effect until further notice in the best interest of public safety and wellbeing.
The office has been sealed in view of an official of AKM being confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Saturday evening, AKM stated in its press release on Sunday. The official who tested positive is reportedly in good health and the AKM expressed hope that he would “be fully recovered within no time.” However, most of the AKM officials have gone under self-isolation and home quarantine as a precautionary measure, it informed. It also appealed to all those who have come into contact with AKM officials during the past week to follow suit in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Fear at this juncture would jeopardize the community, it said, and urged everyone not to panic and to strictly follow laid down SoPs. It also advised against stigmatizing anyone. “Together we can overcome this pandemic and build a more resilient community,” it added.
