Aliawati Longkumer appointed India's Ambassador to N Korea

DIMAPUR, JUNE 16 (MExN): The Government of India on Monday appointed Aliawati Longkumer as the next Ambassador of India to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). 

Longkumer, a 2008 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service, is currently serving as the Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of India in Asunción, Paraguay. “He has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement. The ministry added that he is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
