Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): While the “present steps” of the GPRN/NSCN and NNC/FGN is welcomed, the GBs are feeling strongly that all the Naga underground groups, the ‘NSCN (IM), NSCN (K) and the NNC, FGN should come under a common political platform’, unconditionally. The Joint Forum of GBs and DBs of Nagaland issued a note today.
“The present steps taken by the GPRN/NSCN, NNC, FGN is a good gesture towards the unity of all the Naga national workers as it is the desire and wish of the Naga people to stand unitedly in the true spirit of peace and reconciliation,” the forum’s executives stated. “However, we felt that all groups of Naga national workers i.e., NSCN (IM), NSCN (K) NNC, FGN should come under one common political platform unconditionally to hammer out the long decades (of) unsettled political settlement with Government of India.”
The GBs forum has appealed to all right-thinking citizens, the state government and Naga civil society to extend cooperation “towards Naga unity and reconciliation” of the Naga factions “also civil societies.”
