CHUMOUKEDIMA, JULY 31 (MExN): The 4th Conference of the Association of Nagaland Architects (ANA), was successfully held on July 27, at Noune Resort, with MLA, Jwenga Seb, as the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the conference, Seb, an architect himself, emphasized that architecture is a noble profession with a vital role in creating sustainable and aesthetically pleasing environments.
In the keynote address, Richard Belho, a renowned advocate for bamboo architecture, underscored the versatility and sustainability of bamboo as a building material and shared insights on how bamboo architecture can be a viable solution for the state's construction needs, promoting eco-friendly practices while leveraging local resources, a press report stated.
He also spoke about the economic benefits of fostering a robust local economy, and stressed the importance of cultivating a strong work culture that values efficiency, innovation, and ethical practices.
During the conference, new executive members of the ANA were elected, with Apokla Jamir as President, Nokranglong Jamir as Vice President, Khriebu as General Secretary, Vinika Swu as Assistant General Secretary, and Shanjo A. Kithan as Treasurer. The Advisors for the new tenure are Tarachu Fithu, Richard Belho, Chenithung, and L.M. Yanthan.
