Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The All Nagaland Child Development Project Officers' Association (ANCDPOA) celebrated its silver jubilee at Niathu Resort Dimapur on April 23.
Speaking as guest of honour at the anniversary programme Director, Social Welfare, K Atoli Sema, stated that the department of Social Welfare is a very big department which deals with human security, senior citizens, health of future generations and other social security for the upliftment of the society. She therefore reminded all the officers to feel proud to be part of the department, and at the same time discharge their duties sincerely.
Terming good relationship among various associations under the department as ‘health of the department’, the Director urged them to maintain a healthy relationship and also to learn from each other.
She further said that only when there are good relationships and better cooperation, they can withstand any unwanted pressure from different quarters.
Other highlights of the programme included invocation prayer by Pastor, 15th NAP IR, Neibu Sanchu, welcome speech by Jubilee Convenor, C James Ezung, presidential address by President ANCDPOA, D Terhuja, speech by former Director, Khevito T Shohe, musical interlude, and vote of thanks by Assistant General Secretary, ANCDPOA, Imliyanger. The jubilee celebration was also marked by presentation of mementos and certificates.
