ANCSU suggests online exams for UG students

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) has appealed to the Nagaland State Government to consider conducting online exams for the upcoming intermediate semester exams for undergraduate degree students. The ANCSU was referring to exams for BA/B.SC/B.COM/BBA/BCA, which is to be held from December 3 to 17.

A press release from the ANCSU said that “online mode of examination could be the most suitable for the forthcoming examination.” It asked the State Government and Nagaland University to thoroughly assess the prevailing situation and examine the mode of examination, ensuring that the academic career of the students are not hampered at all cost nor value of human lives is put at stake.

It further urged the authorities to guarantee that the quality of education is not compromised but to ensure meritocracy. The union also drew attention to strictly instruct and enforce certain modalities for the upcoming examination to all the affiliated colleges under NU for the smooth conduct of exams, evaluation and timely declaration of results. Similarly, such remedial suggestions may be advised to those autonomous colleges and universities, it added.
