
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 31 (MExN): The All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has called off its agitation following assurances from the government for release of pending salaries of 66 OMs. The association said that the Engineer in Chief, Power assured that updating PIMS of the 66 OMS and related issues would be completed immediately and further assured that there shall be no future consequences on the matter of regularization of OMs. The association thanked the Chief Minister, Minister for Power, Chief Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR; Commissioner & Secretary, Power; the Engineer-in-Chief, Power; and all appropriate authorities for their prompt action. However, it said that if the assurances are not executed immediately, the ANEFWA would be compelled to resume their agitation which would be indefinite or until their grievances are addressed in toto.
