Kohima, Sept 26 (MExN): The All   Nagaland Private Schools’ Association, Kohima Unit held its annual general body meeting on September 25 at Baptist High Kohima.

A total of 97 members representing 39 schools attended the meeting, graced by the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) Project Director Dr Hovithal Sothu as the resource person.

He talked on the theme, “The Way Ahead for Educators and Institutions in the Post Pandemic Period.”

Meanwhile, the Association announced the results of Online Singing Competition (Solo & Duet) which was held under the theme “This Too Shall Pass” wherein 16 schools in solo and 12 schools in duet joined.

In solo, Chumrenthung Humtsoe, a Class 4 student of St. Mary’s HSS secured the first position while Nyiumei Chungpang(Class 9) of Ministers’ Hill Baptist HSS and Longkyang Thonger (Class 9) Chandmari HSS took the second and third position respectively.

Chinia Kayina & Chovoa Kayina, both Class 9 students of Mezhur HSS took the first position in duet competition while  Vimenu Sachü, (Class 9) & Ela Lungeli (Class 9) of Ministers’ Hill BHSS secured second. Veritolü Phuswuo (Class 2) & Rüvelü Lohe (Class 2) of Jo Foundation Inclusive School were in the third. 

Earlier, Kepelhouto Nakhro led the first session while Father C Jaison delivered welcome speech.

Zhopota Rhakho, President ANPSA Kohima unit acted as moderator during business session.
