Mon, March 30 (MExN): As per Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum yearly calendar 2021, Anti-Social Elements Day was jointly organized by NGOs, churches and ATBC Youth Department at Aboi town with the theme, ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life’ on March 30.
ADC Aboi, Chumlamo Hustsoe, NCS said that family is the basic unit of society and the nucleus of civilization and it is the duty of parents to raise the child in the right direction, sated a DIPR report. He encouraged the people to make use of their leisure time properly and utilize spaces like local ground and indoor stadium.
MO (CHC) Aboi, Dr Hangsha, asked the gathering to live a life without drugs and added that various diseases spread faster among drugs users. It creates problems not only to oneself but to societies, he added.
KU Aboi, Vice President, Phongnyei said that anti-social elements is a behavioral issue which is not acceptable in family or society. KNSK President informed that it is nearly 30 years since the KNSK Aboi are organizing anti social elements days.
Short speeches were also delivered by representatives of KBBB, ATSU and AASU. The programme was chaired by Sector Pastor ATBC, Manpong and keynote address was given by ATBC Pastor, Rev Yeangphong. A public march towards local ground from all nine wards of Aboi town and students of different schools marched towards the local ground with the slogan ‘say no to drugs and yes to life.’
