Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): The Aoyimti Village Council log drum pavilion was inaugurated by Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Speaker Sharingain Longkumer on March 10. 

A press release stated that the speaker in his speech emphasised on values of the rich culture and tradition and the need to preserve the same for the coming generations. “Tradition and culture should not remain as a text/story or picture in books, but must be practice in align with the modernization,” he asserted. As one of the oldest Ao villages in Dimapur area, the speaker mentioned that Aoyimti has the responsibility to evolve as a model for others.

The Aoyimti Village Council, Chairman in the welcome address declared the commencement of the yearlong celebration of Platinum Jubilee of the Village.
