Sub: - Appeal to intervene and streamline the taxations by various Govt. on Buses and Bus Counters
Sir,
With humble submission, we would like to bring to your notice that various Governments have been imposing yearly taxes and numerous daily taxes on Buses and Bus Counters. Lately, many new taxes (yearly and daily) are imposed. As a result, the bus operators are finding it hard to operate the buses.
Therefore, it is my earnest request to you to kindly intervene and streamline the taxation process of various Governments.
The All Nagaland Private Bus Union has decided that if this trend of excessive taxation continued, it would be compelled to:
1. Hike the passenger fare by 50% to cover excess taxes imposed on buses.
2. Shift the Bus Counters to Assam side, half a kilometer away from the present location in order to avoid the numerous taxes.
The detail list of taxes imposed on buses and Bus operators by various Governments are enclosed herewith for your kind perusal.

NSCN (IM)
1. Yearly House (Counter) Tax: Rs. 120.00
2. Yearly Counter Tax: Rs. 3000.00 to 6000.00
3. Yearly Counter Registration Fee: Rs. 500.00
4. Yearly Bus Registration Fee per Vehicle: Rs. 150.00
5. Yearly Bus Tax per vehicle: Rs. 5000.00 to 10,000.00
6. Daily Entry Fee (Cargo Goods) per vehicle: Rs. 500.00
7. Daily Out Fee (Cargo Goods) per vehicle: Rs. 500.00
8. Daily Bus Entry Fee per vehicle: Rs. 50.00
9. Daily Bus Out Fee per vehicle: Rs. 50.00

1. Yearly Bus Tax per vehicle: Rs. 5000.00 to 10,000.00
2. Yearly House (Counter) Tax: Rs. 120.00
3. Daily Entry Fee (Cargo Goods) per vehicle: RS. 500.00
4. Daily Out Fee (Cargo Goods) per vehicle: Rs. 500.00
STATE GOVERNMENT
1. Bus Counter Registration: Rs. 5000.00
2. Bus Road Permit (Three States Tourists Permit) Yearly: Rs. 1,44, 000.00
3. Road Tax (Yearly) @Rs. 300.00 per seat: Rs. 10,500.00
FGN/NNC
1. Contributions and Donations: No Taxation
N.B The Federal Governments are demanding to impose daily collection of Rs. 400.00 per Bus as Cargo (Goods) Tax

1. Yearly trade License Fee: Rs. 2,200.00
2. Bus Entry Fee per bus: Rs. 30.00
3. Daily Entry Fee (Cargo Goods) per vehicle: Rs. 230.00
