Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): Various organizations have come forward in support of the statewide day of fasting and prayer called by Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon, for peaceful and honourable solution of the protracted Indo-Naga political issue on March 20.
CNC: The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) in a press note issued by its General Secretary, Ikato Chishi Swu stated that it is the greatest need of the hour as “Nagas are now engaged in a spiritual warfare.”
The council has appealed all the Naga churches in Nagalim and abroad, prayer centres, individuals, well-wishers and informs all the brigades, battalions, units, and regions under it to observe the day in their own respective churches and places as per the prayer points circulated by NJCF.
NGBF: The Nagaland Gaonbura Federation (NGBF) also said that it supports the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) call for prayer. “As it is said, everything has been said and done, every political parties have their shares of struggled and sacrifice for Naga political solution. We need now God's divine interventions to help us in bringing Naga political solution a reality,” Akhu Naga, Media Secretary, NGBF stated in a press note. Therefore, the federation has informed to all the District GBs Associations to observe the day of prayer.
CNSA: The Central Nagaland Student's Association (CNSA) also made an appeal to its unit to support and participate in the statewide prayer organized by Nagaland Joined Christian Forum. “No group, party or individual is blameless and above National cause,” it stated in a press release.
The association has appealed to repent, confess and ask God for forgiveness for our shortcomings and change our perspectives to work together for greater interest of our people. “Naga People cannot afford to remain divided over certain vested interests sacrificing common Naga People in the Alter to satisfy ones ego and thirst for Supremacy,” it asserted while appealing to all section of the society to participate in the genuine effort of NJCF.
