DIMAPUR, MAY 16 (MExN): 29 Assam Rifles, based on specific information of an armed individual in Eros Lane, launched an operation on May 14 and apprehended one individual with one .22 mm pistol along with magazine. The individual was identified as James Sumi (29 years). The apprehended was handed over to the East Police Station, Dimapur, a press release from the PRO stated.
In another operation on May 11, 5 AR apprehended one GPRN/NSCN cadre from Ampihoto Colony, Zunheboto. The cadre was identified as Capt Akato Zhimo (42), Town Commander, and recovered one .22 pistol, magazine, silencer, gunpowder, live & misfired rounds, and fake vehicle number plates. The apprehended cadre was later handed over to Zunheboto Police Station.
