Kohima, July 21 (MExN): The Assam Rifles have recently undertaken various humanitarian and environmental initiatives across Nagaland.

On July 20, the Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp in Toshiho village, Niuland District. This camp provided medical checkups and distributed prescribed medicines to approximately 400 villagers, including children and the elderly.

Simultaneously, on the same day, another medical camp was organized by the Assam Rifles in Old Thewati village. The camp provided general health check-ups, consultations, and free medications. A team of doctors and medical staff from the Assam Rifles also conducted awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.

The Assam Rifles also launched a week-long tree plantation drive in Kiphire. Assam Rifles personnel, alongside local civilians, planted 105 saplings, including a variety of local and fruit-bearing trees.
