AR conducts several civic activities

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): The Khonsa battalion of the Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a medical camp and reached out to local populace by rendering medical assistance and provided essential commodities at Sanliam village on October 3.

During the conduct of camp, a 28 years old lady was brought in unconscious state at the camp and she was immediately attended by the medical team, a press release from the IGAR(N) informed. In a resolve to jointly fight the pandemic, the locals were encouraged to strictly abide by the COVID-19 protocols for their own safety and their loved ones.  A total of 210 residents attended the medical Camp and were given treatment and medicines.

On October 2, to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Chieswema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a lecture cum motivation drive for children of Chobama & Pfutseromi Villages of Pfutsero Sub Division.  

Children of age grouped 08 to 19 delivered a motivational talk on benefits of education. The area was divided into two clusters with Chobama (Tpsufumi) being the node for southern cluster and Pfutseromi for eastern cluster. A total 200 children participated in the event. 

Meanwhile, the Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) rendered medical assistance and provided essential commodities at Zeme Women Organisation Children’s Home, Peren on October 3. While, locals were encouraged to strictly abide by the COVID-19 protocols, a total of 13 children and two staff member attended the event.
